Zapotec wool rug, 'Rain Clouds' (1.5x6)

Like lightning, fiery colors form starbursts that emerge from mountain mist. Gregorio Ruiz weaves a bold and beautiful rug in the traditional Zapotec style. He works with virgin wool on a handloom for this masterpiece. Because each rug is individually woven on handlooms, measurements could vary +/- 5 cm (2 in). Titled "Con Tres Diamantes" in Spanish.
